The Challenge
Within our motion design course, we received a deeply philosophical brief. The task challenged us to create an independent animation visualizing our personal interpretation of time. We were encouraged to draw inspiration from memories, emotions, or abstract concepts, exploring everything from fleeting everyday moments to the vastness of infinity.
I chose to approach this project from an intimate and emotional perspective. I wanted to investigate how our perception of time shifts based on our experiences and how it structures our lives. Instead of portraying time as a rigid measurable unit, my concept focused on its deep connection to human consciousness, memory, and our sheer presence in the current moment.
The resulting animation, entirely crafted in After Effects, embraces a strictly minimalist aesthetic. By using clean shapes and simple movements, I ensured that nothing distracts from the core message. Typography stands at the absolute center of the piece, driving the narrative forward through precise timing and positioning.

Audio track from Receives by Keith Kenniff was used for this project. This is a student project with no commercial purpose.
